The Ten Commandments of Go

1. Qi Zi Zheng Xian (sacrifice stones for sente)
2. She Xiao Jui Da (abandon small to save big)
3. Bi Qiang Zi Bao (if your opponent is strong, protect yourself)
4. Gong Bi Gu Wo (while attacking opponent consider yourself)(this means to consider your own weaknesses etc)
5. Ru Jie Yi Huan (entering territory should be unhurried)
6. Dong Xu Xiang Ying (moves must respond to each other)
7. Shen Wu Qing Su (Caution, avoid light and speedy moves) (this means play strong moves)
8. Shi Gu Qu He (when play is isolated look for peace)
9. Feng Wei Xu Qi (meet danger must sacrifice)
10. Bu Der Tan Shen (Greediness cannot get victory)
